Al D’Elia, AIA

Executive Vice President

Al D’Elia, AIA, is an executive vice president in the New York office of MKDA where he is responsible for project management and business development.

Al has over 20 years of experience in architectural design, construction management, and strategic facilities planning. He has held senior management positions at numerous architectural design firms, including Gensler, Mancini Duffy, Butler Rogers Basket, Hillier Architecture and IA Interior Architects.

Equipped with substantial experience in managing projects in multiple markets, Al has overseen an 800,000-square-foot relocation project for a major pharmaceutical company as well as sizable projects for Cravath Swaine & Moore and ITT Corporation’s world headquarters. Additional project experience includes Goldman Sachs, The Federal Reserve Bank and Daiwa Securities of America, for which he won a design award from The Society of American Registered Architects (SARA).

Al holds a Bachelor of Architecture from The City College of New York (CCNY). He is a member of American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), World Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and CoreNet Global. He is a former president of the Alumni Association of CCNY and the City College Fund.
