Kamilah is a project designer in MKDA’s Miami office. Since joining the firm in 2014, Kamilah has provided superior design services to corporate office and commercial buildings throughout Miami.
Prior to her experience with MKDA, she held design positions at Luminaire and RS3 Design, which gave her a strong background in design and the ability to anticipate industry trends.
Providing client-focused design solutions since the firm’s inception, Kamilah has been central to establishing the firm’s strong reputation in the Miami market. She has been a strong advocate for the office’s use of the latest technologies, such as BIM 360 and 3D virtual animation, which allows the client to both visualize and partake in the design process leading to the most optimal outcomes and strong client satisfaction. Notable projects include Bolton Global Capital, 100 Biscayne, Ofizzina, The Related Group HQ and FirstServices Residential.
As a passionate designer and creative visionary, Kamilah has honed her design skill set and has become an expert at creating branded environments. She also has a keen eye for identifying sustainable environments enabling her to become a valuable asset in adaptive reuse projects. Coupled with her solution-oriented and collaborative approach, Kamilah is a strong contributor to any design project.
Kamilah is a graduate of Miami International University where she majored in interior design and received an honorable mention for her thesis project. She is actively pursuing her Master of Architecture. In addition, she is a longstanding volunteer for numerous organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, JDRF and American Diabetes Association.
