MKDA’s high-end prebuilt suite features a creative, open plan with benching fit for 77 people and a large multi-purpose space that includes a cafe, reception and lounge area. Additional shared spaces include phone rooms, meeting rooms and conference rooms. The interior concept is open and modern industrial, consisting of warm wood accents and reclaimed brick features. The industrial accents were added to create a New York City loft feel and enhance the expansive views of Midtown Manhattan.
The design features a monochromatic palette with exposed concrete floors and exposed white painted ceiling and oval duct works. The cafe was created with open shelf cabinets and a brick backsplash to tie in the industrial look, with fully built-in appliances and a stone island. Perimeter columns on the inner side of the exterior walls reveal the existing brick, while exposed interior steel columns were painted black. The elevator wall is clad with Fortina wood slats and a floating island surrounding a column creates the reception desk that doubles as a high-top work table.
