Our objectives were to create a space that is open in feel while still providing brand privacy. Ensuring that the showrooms and labs were neutral to accommodate current and future brands was essential. Providing a sleek feel while still adhering to strict budget parameters was crucial. That being said, we didn’t want it to be boring. One of the first decisions was to use a warm colored, poured concrete floor throughout and mostly white walls. The client felt that having too much concrete could come off as too masculine in look, so we incorporated a rich colored, textured wood floor into all of the showrooms and design labs. Also a challenge, the back of house planning area needed to keep to strict budget constraints, while creating a space that maintains a welcoming feel and relates to the showroom design as well as creating and efficient workspace for administrative work
