Daniel DeSiena is an executive vice president and director of design in MKDA’s New York office. Since joining the firm in 1983, Daniel has been integral to the firm’s growth through the maintenance of design quality and client relations.
Daniel’s workplace experience spans various corporate sectors with particular emphasis on financial services, law and insurance firms. In addition, he is often called upon to leverage his experience on the boards of non-profits to perform non-profit interiors assignments. Recent clients have included Epoch Capital Partners, Reservoir Capital Group, LISC, Robinson + Cole and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
A world traveler, Daniel is respected for his ability to work with overseas teams and global executives. This experience and his sensitivity to working hand-in-glove with global citizens have translated to highly successful projects for China Construction Bank and Lukoil Pan Americas, among others.
Daniel is chairman of the Board of Trustees of Encompass New Opera Theater and a board member of the Global Change Foundation. He is also a founding member of the Drawing and Prints Council, as well as a Design Watch member of The Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The State University of New York (SUNY). He studied law at Cleveland State University’s School of Law and interior design at the prestigious Parsons School of Design.
