Although the design standards mirrored those established at its New York Headquarters, MKDA had to manage some logistical challenges in the build out of Guggenheim Partners’ new Chicago office. With a relocation and expansion that absorbed another regional office, the firm needed an efficient office space with dense benching and fewer private offices. The in-occupancy renovation was completed in two phases, moving teams from one floor to another to complete the build out. MKDA then navigated the teams from the regional office through a significant work culture shift from a traditional office space with private offices to an open benching environment. The space includes technology-enhanced conference and videoconference rooms as well as board rooms and a multipurpose room with skyfold partitions for flexibility.
