Although the design standards mirrored those established at its New York Headquarters, MKDA had to manage some logistical challenges in the build out of this Global Financial Firm’s new Chicago office. With a relocation and expansion that absorbed another regional office, the firm needed an efficient office space with dense benching and fewer private offices. The in-occupancy renovation was completed in two phases, moving teams from one floor to another to complete the build out. MKDA then navigated the teams from the regional office through a significant work culture shift from a traditional office space with private offices to an open benching environment. The space includes technology-enhanced conference and videoconference rooms as well as board rooms and a multipurpose room with skyfold partitions for flexibility.
