Bachelor of Architecture, New York Institute of Technology
Jeffrey Kleinberg has been a partner at MKDA since the mid-70’s. He joined the firm after graduating from New York Institute of Technology with a five-year degree in Architecture.
Upon graduating, Jeffrey immediately began focusing his energies on bringing new technology to the firm. His expertise brought MKDA to the forefront of what was then a new medium–Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Jeffrey’s talent for space planning, design and project management—developed since his intern days beginning at age 16—helped him quickly jump ahead and develop clientele. His client base stretches across the tri-state region in the areas of corporate office and showroom design with the majority of his work located in Manhattan’s fashion centers.
With his knowledge of real estate, Jeffrey provides total project oversight from pre-lease through project completion. Real estate professionals appreciate this service as it provides tenants with a more pleasant experience.
Jeffrey is committed to serving his community by donating his design services to a Scarsdale, NY synagogue for its ongoing renovations as well as assisting in the design of a Theater at the Community Center in New Rochelle, NY. As a mentor, he assists students at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in clarifying and pursuing specific career paths within the design industry.
Jeffrey has won awards from organizations including The Institute of Store Planners and has been featured in numerous media outlets, such as Architectural Systems, Interiors, Contract, Real Estate Weekly and Real Estate New York. He is also a member of International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and a certified interior designer.
