Bachelor of Architecture, New York Institute of Technology
Jeffrey Kleinberg, partner at MKDA, joined the firm full time after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from New York Institute of Technology in 1976.
Upon graduating, Jeffrey immediately focused on bringing new technology to the firm, including what was then a new medium — Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and, using an Apple IIe computer, created one of the first cost estimating programs.
Jeffrey’s expertise is in space planning, design, working drawings, construction and furniture management providing total oversight from pre-lease through client move in. He developed a penchant for designing fashion showrooms and has done work for a number of reputable brands including Calvin Klein, Murjani/Gloria Vanderbilt, Outerstuff, Tahari and The Moret Group among others.
Jeffrey has won awards from organizations such as The Institute of Store Planners and has been featured in numerous media outlets, including Architectural Systems, Interiors, Contract, Real Estate Weekly and Real Estate New York. He is also a member of International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and a certified interior designer.
On a personal note, Jeffrey has been married to his wife Ellyn for 35 years and they are involved in charities such as Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options (JAFCO), JARC and Alzheimer’s Association. He enjoys photography, biking, driving his classic cars and, most importantly, being with his family.
