Vibrant Colors, Biophilic Design, And Flexibility

24 Seven Talent, a global staffing and recruitment firm specializing in marketing, creative and technology talent, wanted a new space that would reflect their creative brand and mindset. MKDA developed a design concept centered around vibrant colors, biophilic design and maximum flexibility. Upon entering reception from the elevator lobby, one is immediately greeted by a reception desk dawned in the company’s signature colors, orange and lime green. A number of potted plants are perched on surrounding tables to give the space an inviting and cozy atmosphere.

This open and welcoming environment continues into the main work area, specifically designed to allow for an abundance of open, collaboration space. The walls are adorned with whimsical, colorful paintings representative of their innovative brand and the open layout facilitates the spread of natural light. Similarly, the project team scattered plants of different shapes and sizes across the office to promote a general sense of well-being and productivity. In fact, a living green wall stands in the open cafe area, which provides the added benefits of natural ventilation and sound absorption.

Resimercial Design Elements

Another key project requirement was the inclusion of flexible, comfortable rooms. For example, there are an assortment of huddle rooms that seem more like well-decorated New York City apartments than office spaces. In addition, a large conference room features a sliding door and movable furniture, allowing it to easily transform into an advantageous event space. Along with a spa room complete with a massage chair, greenery and soothing sounds and smells, this human-centric work environment places the health and happiness of its employees at the forefront of its design.
