JOB CAPTAIN

Position Preview: MKDA is seeking a Job Captain to join our Stamford, CT studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and technically sound construction documents along with performing construction administration tasks. The individual will also conduct field surveys and reports, and attend field meetings with clients. Must currently reside in the Connecticut/ NY Tri-State Area or be willing to relocate.

DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of design assignments at all sizes and levels of complexity from start to completion. They will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident in communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. They should also maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients.

 The Project Manager will support the Senior Project Director in guiding project teams throughout the duration of each project, with primary responsibility for technical documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, a critical thinker, and able to prioritize multiple tasks while balancing detailed documentation and project delivery responsibilities.
