Understated Elegance for Graham Capital Management

MKDA designed Graham Capital Management’s new workplace, creating a refined workplace that reflects the firm’s disciplined, sophisticated approach to investment management. Located at 712 5th Avenue, the boutique office pairs clean architectural lines with a restrained material palette, striking a balance that feels both timeless and welcoming. Tailored for a close-knit investment team, the office includes executive offices, open workstations, multiple conference rooms, a dedicated conference lounge, a hospitality-inspired pantry, and client-facing amenities, all organized around an intuitive, highly functional plan.

MKDA grounded the arrival experience in understated elegance, pairing a light-filled reception — anchored by a custom walnut millwork desk — with an elevator lobby finished in large-format porcelain and bronze-trimmed doors. Throughout the workplace, glass office fronts preserve openness and daylight while reinforcing the clean, contemporary design language. In the boardroom, a walnut slat ceiling and circular black pendant fixtures add architectural warmth above a sleek white conference table, while the hospitality-inspired pantry serves as a central gathering space, featuring a waterfall island and custom walnut cabinetry set beneath brass, smokey-glass pendants. Together, these elements establish a polished environment that balances professionalism with warmth — an elevated experience for employees and visiting clients alike.
