Happy #InternationalWomensDay ! We’re so proud to have such influential women leading the way in our offices, inspiring the creative women in our industry, and the generation of women to follow in their footsteps. Today, as we honor all the women at MKDA, we’d like to highlight Julia Lindh and Amanda Hertzler, the women in charge at MKDA Stamford and MKDA Miami!

Julia Lindh, RA, NCARB is the Executive Managing Director at MKDA Stamford. Since establishing the office in 2006, Julia has grown a talented team of professionals who service a diverse roster of interiors clients in multiple markets nationwide. Julia has built a reputation for diverse, collaborative, timely and budget-conscious work that successfully integrates unique corporate characters into a functionally efficient and visually pleasing environment. As such, she has been recognized by Westchester County Business Journal as a “Women Making an Impact”.

Amanda Hertzler, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED GA is the Executive Managing Director at MKDA Miami. She was selected in 2013 to lead Miami’s office, and has since won an impressive number of assignments that have garnered her a high-level of respect in a newer market. Her experience includes award-winning projects, international projects in Asian emerging markets and the Caribbean, and assignments that have included design, branding, management and CA in the public and private sectors. Amanda is committed to being on the leading edge of design trends and the use of advanced technology, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), but it is her design vision—designing for the desired behavior of a space as well as functionality—that serves her clients well.

We’re lucky to have such well-versed women in leadership roles at MKDA. We look forward to having more of our female architecture and design employees follow in Julia and Amanda’s steps by taking on leadership roles at our offices in the future!
