Edin Rudić Featured in Interior Design’s Shop Talk

Congratulations to MKDA’s Executive Creative Director, Edin Rudić, on being featured in the latest edition of Interior Design magazine. As part of the publication’s ShopTalk section, Edin joined a group of design leaders in exploring where workplace design is headed and why it matters more than ever.

His answer centers on a simple idea: as the world outside the office grows louder and more unpredictable, workplace design needs to become more human-centric, grounding people in real connection with one another.

“It isn’t being designed in a vacuum—it’s happening in a world of AI acceleration, geopolitical tension, and constant noise. That context matters; reality is becoming louder, faster, and more synthetic. The future office is designed to bring people back to themselves and each other, creating a grounded sense of community and belonging in an increasingly divided world. We can’t control the macro chaos, but we can give people real control over light, sound, privacy, and pace. As designers, we hold a powerful tool: We decide how it feels to be human inside a workplace.”

Edin’s perspective reflects a broader shift across the industry, one where the workplace is being asked to nurture people, not just their output, by fostering the sense of connection and well-being that makes a space feel like a community rather than just a place to work.
