Jung Kim Joins MKDA New York as Studio Director

NEW YORK, NY—National interior design, space planning and consulting firm MKDA today announced that Jung Kim, NCIDQ, LEED AP, WELL AP, IIDA, has joined the firm as the Studio Director in its New York office. In her new role, Ms. Kim will manage the firm’s design studio, leveraging more than 20 years of workplace experience to bring clients evidence-based, experiential design.

“Jung is an excellent addition to our team with a proven track record in commercial interior design,” said MKDA CEO Michael Kleinberg. “She is a strong leader who balances clients’ practical needs with meticulous attention to detail. Her thoughtful, human-centric approach will propel us forward and lead to successful client outcomes.”  

Ms. Kim was most recently with SDG where she was a lead designer on a variety of commercial projects. Over her career, she has worked across markets nationally and internationally, and designed numerous projects ranging from under 5,000 sq. ft. to over 500,000 sq.ft. Her work on the Gemological Institute of America project received the IFMA NYC Award of Excellence.   

Ms. Kim is a firm believer in sustainable and healthy design practices, having earned both LEED AP and WELL AP credentials. ​​She holds a Master’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in Human Factors from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design from Yonsei University, South Korea.
