Meryl Mathew, project designer at our Miami studio, is making an incredible contribution to communities across the country.

Over the past month, Meryl has been sewing cotton masks to donate to those in need.

With the support of her family, friends and colleagues, she has sewn over 1,300 masks, hand-delivering them to local nursing homes, police stations, medical device manufacturing companies and low income families. She’s also shipped them across the nation to New York, Chicago, California, Texas, Tampa, Denver and Arizona.

“This has only been possible with the help of everyone that has donated their time and resources to support this effort,,” she explained. “We’re all in this together, and I hope it inspires more of us to work together as a community!”

Meryl isn’t slowing down; she is determined to continue to make masks until she reaches her goal of 5,000! In addition, she has begun to sew surgical caps and customized headbands with buttons for healthcare workers.

We are so proud to have Meryl as a member of the MKDA family and applaud all of her amazing, inspirational accomplishments during this challenging time! If you would like to support Meryl’s efforts, please reach out to us at info@mkda.com and let us know how you would like to help.
