User-Centric, Hospitality-Forward Building Upgrades

DivcoWest tapped MKDA to upgrade its prebuilt and amenity offerings at its Class A office building, 1620 L Street. The team took a hospitality-forward approach to create inviting, comfortable, and user-centric spaces that prioritize the well-being of the building’s occupants. The new prebuilt program, for instance, combines optimal functionality and practicality with warm Scandinavian finishes to craft a timeless aesthetic centered on simplicity and elegance.

Top-Tier Fitness Experience

The revamped fitness center is equipped with modern exercise equipment, offering tenants convenient access to workout facilities that cater to diverse fitness interests. Graphic motivational phrases, a variety of geometric shapes, and splashes of color establish a dynamic and stimulating environment, which underscores the building’s commitment to providing a holistic, healthy lifestyle experience.

Organic and Soothing Conference Center

In addition, MKDA is building out a state-of-the-art conference center, which incorporates multiple conference rooms of different sizes and configurations, each outfitted with cutting edge technology and full video conferencing capabilities. The 5,000 square foot space also incorporates a tranquil library and a refined pantry where tenants can seek refuge during the workday. Organic forms and curves, wood finishes, an abundance of greenery, and tasteful decor round out the look and feel, fostering a sense of calm and serenity.
