MKDA is designing a modern, yet timeless space for a national law firm’s Chicago location. The team harmoniously blends hospitality-forward aesthetics with integrated biophilia, fostering a sense of inclusivity and wellness. The layout offers six private offices alongside an open workspace with 50 workstations—a progressive departure from typical law firm environment—and stunning Chicago cityscape vistas. Moreover, the open space is supported with several focus rooms, meeting rooms, and two semi-enclosed huddle rooms nestled centrally to form two distinct neighborhoods. Flexible seating, including lounges and benches with pull-up laptop tables, enhance collaborative efforts while an entryway café with adjacent ping pong tables further encourages team building and informal mentorship.
