MKDA designed Eir Partners’ headquarters at 830 Brickell as a boutique, residential-inspired workplace that reflects the firm’s focused approach to healthcare technology investment. Rooted in a mid-century modern aesthetic, the interior pairs warm oak millwork with terrazzo flooring and ambient lighting to establish a calm, inviting atmosphere that differs from the typical office environment. The reception sets the tone, where a monolithic stone desk is set against a softly textured backdrop with a circular feature element, while warm wood paneling and integrated lighting frame a composed, welcoming entry experience.
MKDA organized the layout to support a small, focused team, positioning five private offices—including two executive offices—along the perimeter to capture natural light and views. The main work area is defined by height-adjustable workstations arranged to maintain openness, alongside full-height wood millwork, terrazzo flooring, and a custom pendant that casts a warm, even glow. In the boardroom, a large wood conference table is set within a space lined with bookshelves and an adjacent coffee bar, creating a more tranquil, library-like setting that aligns with the overall residential feel. Complementing these spaces, a meeting room and dedicated Zoom room support day-to-day operations, while a pantry and informal seating area introduce a relaxed, hospitality-driven layer. Throughout, a mix of contemporary and vintage furnishings adds a more personal touch, reinforcing the space’s intimate, elevated, and wellness-driven character.
