Michael Kleinberg Speaks at NYU’s Shack Student Summit

On November 15,  MKDA CEO Michael Kleinberg was invited to speak at the first annual Schack Student Summit “Future of Office” panel alongside Stephen Meringoff of Himmel and Meringoff, and Kevin Hoo of Cove Property Group. The action-packed event, organized by NYU’s Schack Real Estate Club, was filled with panels, keynote speakers, and a networking luncheon that brought together over 250 students from reputable universities.

Reimagining the Workplace

During the summit, Michael shared invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of office spaces, emphasizing the pivotal role of human-centric, flexible design:

“Despite uncertainties stemming from hybrid work arrangements and the impact of global events, we’re optimistic about the resilience of New York and the office market as a whole. From our perspective, the pandemic presented an opportunity; it pushed the real estate industry to reevaluate the role of the workplace and reimagine the experience to align with the evolving needs and expectations of today’s workforce.

As a result, the office no longer functions as a mandatory work destination, but as a branded hub that can serve as a strategic tool to attract and retain the next generation of talent. This shift underscores a new era of work where workplaces are instrumental in fostering collaboration, stimulating creativity, and optimizing productivity.”
